Ross Henderson, a senior student at TaiChi People taichi
school leads classes in Chang-style TaiChi at ASB
Karate on Monday and Wednesday evenings, and Saturday
mornings.

Classes will be held at ASB Karate's studio space in the Arbor
Center, Building D at 800 Highway 290 West, Dripping Springs.

Cost is $75/month-all class access, or $45 for the once a week option.

Studying TaiChi is useful as a companion art to any other
martial art. It is great excercise for increasing balance, agility,
strength to weight ratio, joint resilience, and reduction of
chronic aches and pains.

Most importantly, it's fun! Join us for a free class and find out.

Chang style TaiChi was created in the mid 1900s by the great martial artist Chang Tung Sheng.  Mr. Chang competed in thousands of matches all over the world without ever being defeated.  He was a master of many fighting systems, but his central art was Shuai Chiao, China's oldest martial art.  Chang style TaiChi is nearly identical to Yang style, but some of the movements and applications are adapted to meet the principles of Shuai Chiao.

The TaiChi classes will include the practice of push hands, and students will learn about Shuai Chiao applications, but the fighting aspect of Chang style TaiChi will not be a focus.
